Janelle is a really hot babe today...with fever that went up to 38.4 degrees. Poor thing! 
Think it's because she's teething? But then again, I thought that when babies start teething they might have slight fever only. Hmm....But thank God she was perfectly happy with the cool patch on her forehead - it did not bother her one bit! And she happily lapped up her fever syrup medicine and was asking for more! Greedy babe 
Besides, she smiled each time we took her ear temperature because she was tickled by the thermoscan in her ear!
ahh! i learn something knew everyday (babies getting a fever when teething)...

ReplyDeleteThanks guys for your compliments! Though i must say the compliments come about at a strange time when baby's sick!?! Ha. As it turns out, the fever is not due to teething. By right, babies may get only a mild temperature when they start teething and in fact, most babies do not get fever at all. Yup, hope she gets better soon!

ReplyDeleteNot sure if the cool patch really works, but it makes us as parents feel better that there's a cool patch on her forehead! Ha. But i think it does help in some way to bring the temp down. Janelle enjoys the cough syrup because it's sweet and smells like strawberry :) But she sure detests drinking water!
