Little Treasures

In our daily lives, so many things happen to our children that bring such joy and delight to us as parents, but if we fail to document them, the memories would probably fade as time passes us by. Here are some recent updates on our 3 Js.

1) Janelle - 7.5 years old
We dined with some Covenanters at a Japanese ramen restaurant called Ippudo Sydney last Saturday and after the meal, I provided some colour pencils and paper for the kids to draw so we adults could eat and talk in peace. To my surprise, instead of drawing her usual pretty pictures of people/family/flowers, Janelle came up with this that she copied off the restaurant's main signboard! The picture below her drawing is the actual restaurant logo. 

Upon our prompting, Janelle then gave the drawing to the waitress serving our table, who was so delighted with it that she came back seeking our permission to publish a photo of Janelle's drawing (as above) on Ippudo Sydney's facebook page!  

2) Janine - 5.5 years old
Janine is maturing into a delightful young lady with such a tender and sensitive heart! I just love her being the middle child who is unafraid of speaking up and showing her emotions, so that she doesn't get neglected as most middle children are prone to! Both Janelle and Janine play together all the time and never seem to tire of each other :)

3) Josiah - turning 3 years old this September
Josiah is such a character that it would be hard for me to describe him without a smile and a sigh! Cheeky, active, loud, loves music and balls, and affectionate - this is our boy! Here is a video of him attempting to read a book...
