School Holidays

We are now into our third and final week of school holidays and I have to say, I am simply enjoying it! This is probably our first school term break where we did not have any road trip or holiday planned out, and our main agenda was to just take things easy and enjoy spending time at home. Usually I would have planned out a school holiday schedule after doing some research and poring through the local newspapers for holiday activities, but this time round I decided to give all of us a break - literally!

So we have spent leisurely weekday mornings making luxurious breakfasts like pancakes, French toasts, scrambled eggs, etc, which is a real treat for us all considering we normally eat toast for breakfast on school days. It is such a relief to not have to rush out of house each morning, and to not have to constantly yell at the kids to "Finish up your breakfast!" or "Hurry up and change into your school uniform!". I am sure that the kids (and myself) are enjoying the breather from my constant nagging!

Other than our leisurely mornings, we have done so many things - playdates, worship conference (for Janelle), family movie at the cinema, shopping, going to the playground, spring cleaning our bedrooms, and the list goes on. The girls are enjoying their holidays, and Josiah is extremely happy to have his sisters around to keep him company :)

For Royston and myself, we have found ourselves a new project - renovating our kitchen! We have already gotten a contractor to do so and I think we should be able to get our brand new kitchen in a month's time. Looking forward to it :)
